Soft, buttery rolls stuffed with melty cheddar, Swiss, and savory ham, topped with a buttery poppy-seed mixture.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package King’s Hawaiian Original Sweet Rolls (12-count)
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 pound thinly-sliced deli ham
  • 1/4 pound deli-sliced sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 pound deli-sliced Swiss cheese
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 11/2 teaspoons poppy seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Pinch kosher salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat broiler to high with the oven rack about 6 inches below the element.
  2. Stir the mayonnaise and 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard in a small bowl; set aside.
  3. Slice the slider buns horizontally and place cut-sides up on a baking sheet. Broil for 1–2 minutes until lightly golden.
  4. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Lightly spray a dish with cooking spray.
  5. Place the bottom halves of the toasted rolls in the dish and spread more than half the Dijon-mayo over them.
  6. Layer cheddar, then ham, then Swiss across the rolls. Spread remaining Dijon-mayo on the toasted tops and place them over the Swiss.
  7. In a small bowl, whisk melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, poppy seeds, onion powder, and a pinch of salt. Pour this over the sliders.
  8. Cover with foil and let stand 5 minutes, then bake covered for 20 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 5–10 minutes to brown tops.
  9. Let rest, cut into 12 sliders, and serve warm.
