Ingredients
Scale
12 slider buns (dinner roll or Hawaiian)
8–12 oz deli-style ham slices
12 slices Swiss or cheddar cheese
Dill or bread-and-butter pickles, sliced thin
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 cloves garlic, minced (or 1 tsp garlic powder)
Yellow or Dijon mustard (optional)
A pinch of onion powder (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant; remove from heat, and stir in onion powder, salt, and pepper if using.
Slice the slider buns horizontally, keeping them intact.
Layer ham, cheese, and pickles on the bottom halves of the buns. Place the top buns back over.
Brush garlic-butter over the tops and between the cracks.
Place the sliders in a baking dish and cover with foil. Bake for 15 minutes.
Remove foil and bake for an additional 8–10 minutes, until tops are golden. Let rest for 2–3 minutes before serving.
