A warm, comforting dish featuring tender beef, earthy mushrooms, and a creamy sauce, perfect for chilly nights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound beef sirloin, cut into strips
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked egg noodles or rice for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add beef strips and cook until browned on all sides, about 3-4 minutes. Remove beef and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add chopped onion and minced garlic; sauté until softened, about 2-3 minutes. Add sliced mushrooms and cook until tender, around 5 minutes.
  3. Return beef to the skillet, stir in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, scraping up browned bits. Simmer for about 15-20 minutes.
  4. Reduce heat, stir in sour cream, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Serve over cooked egg noodles or rice, drizzling extra sauce on top.
