This rich and creamy homemade white hot chocolate is a cozy, sweet beverage made with real white chocolate, milk, and a touch of vanilla. Perfect for chilly days and festive occasions.

Ingredients

  • 2 ½ cups milk (any variety, dairy or non-dairy)
  • ½ cup half and half or heavy cream
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips or chopped white chocolate
  • ½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • Whipped cream, marshmallows, or sprinkles for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium-low heat, combine the milk and half and half (or cream).
  2. Stir in the white chocolate and heat until the chocolate is fully melted, stirring frequently. Do not let the mixture boil.
  3. Once melted and heated through, remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Pour into mugs and top with whipped cream, marshmallows, or sprinkles if desired. Serve immediately.
