  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch (for thickening)
  • 1/4 cup cold water (to mix with cornstarch)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (optional, for browning)
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms (optional)
  • 1/4 cup red wine (optional)

Instructions

  1. Trim excess fat from the beef tips or stew meat.
  2. Optional: In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and brown the beef tips to enhance flavor.
  3. Place the beef in the slow cooker and sprinkle the onion soup mix evenly over the meat.
  4. Pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, ensuring the beef is covered.
