A comforting and indulgent Seafood Gratin featuring shrimp and scallops in a creamy sauce, topped with golden breadcrumbs and cheese.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 pound scallops
  • 2 cups cream
  • 1 cup grated cheese (like Gruyère or Parmesan)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Breadcrumbs for topping
  • Fresh parsley for garnish
  • Fresh bread or pasta for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  4. Add shrimp and scallops, cooking for about 3-4 minutes until just opaque.
  5. Pour in 2 cups of cream and season with salt and pepper to taste, stirring to combine.
  6. Transfer the seafood mixture to a baking dish.
  7. Top with grated cheese and breadcrumbs.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes until the top is golden and bubbly.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
