  • 2 slices of bread (sourdough or country loaf)
  • 2 tablespoons pesto sauce
  • 2 slices of cheese (mozzarella or cheddar)
  • Butter (for spreading)

Instructions

  1. Spread softened butter evenly on one side of each slice of bread.
  2. Warm the skillet over medium heat for about 2 minutes.
  3. Place one slice of bread butter-side down in the skillet.
  4. Spread pesto sauce on the unbuttered side of the bread.
  5. Layer cheese slices over the pesto.
  6. Top with the second slice of bread butter-side up.
  7. Cook until the bottom slice is golden brown (about 3–4 minutes).
  8. Carefully flip the sandwich and cook until the other side is golden and the cheese is melted.
