Ingredients
Scale
2 pounds ground beef
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 eggs
3/4 cup milk
1 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup ketchup
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup ketchup (for glaze)
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce (for glaze)
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a bowl, mix together the ground beef, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, eggs, milk, breadcrumbs, 1/4 cup of ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and season with salt and pepper.
Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a greased loaf pan or on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, 1/2 cup of ketchup, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce for the glaze. Heat until smooth.
Spoon half of the glaze over the meatloaf and bake for 40 minutes.
Add the remaining glaze on top and return to the oven for another 15-20 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
