Ingredients
Scale
1 pound pizza dough
1/2 cup marinara sauce
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup sliced pepperoni
1/2 cup sliced ham
1/4 cup sliced salami
1/4 cup sliced black olives
1 egg, beaten
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle, about 12×16 inches.
Spread the marinara sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border on all sides.
Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
Layer the pepperoni, ham, salami, and black olives on top of the cheese.
Starting from one of the long sides, tightly roll up the dough with the fillings. Pinch the seam to seal.
Place the Italian Stromboli seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
In a small bowl, whisk together the beaten egg and olive oil. Brush this egg wash over the top of the Italian Stromboli.
Sprinkle with oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
Let the Italian Stromboli cool slightly before slicing and serving.
Notes
For a crispier crust, bake on a pizza stone.
