  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature

  2. Preheat your waffle iron to medium-high heat.
  3. Spread half of the potato mixture evenly onto the preheated waffle iron.
  4. Close the waffle iron firmly and cook for 12–15 minutes, or until the hash brown waffle is golden brown and crispy.
  5. Carefully remove the cooked hash brown waffle from the iron.
  6. Repeat the process with the remaining potato mixture to make more hash brown waffles.
  7. Serve hot with your favorite toppings or sides.

Notes

  • For the crispiest hash brown waffles, ensure you dry the shredded potatoes thoroughly before mixing.
  • Using russet potatoes is recommended for optimal crispiness.
  • Grease the waffle iron generously to prevent the hash brown waffles from sticking.
  • Consider adding shredded cheese, diced cooked bacon, or finely chopped vegetables to the mixture for variations.
  • Reheat leftover hash brown waffles in a toaster oven or air fryer for best results.
