Create festive and fun Halloween Pretzel Rods with this easy, no-bake recipe. Perfect for parties, kids’ activities, or edible gifts, these chocolate-covered pretzel rods can be decorated in countless spooky designs.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 pretzel rods
  • 1 cup melting chocolate or candy melts (assorted colors)
  • 1/2 cup Halloween-themed sprinkles
  • Optional: candy eyes, white chocolate for drizzle, coconut oil (for thinning chocolate)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your work surface with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  2. Melt the chocolate or candy melts in a tall glass using a microwave or double boiler, stirring until smooth. Add a small amount of coconut oil if needed for a thinner consistency.
  3. Dip each pretzel rod about 2/3 of the way into the melted chocolate. Let the excess drip off.
  4. Immediately decorate with sprinkles, candy eyes, or drizzle with contrasting melted chocolate.
  5. Lay the rods on the parchment paper to set. Refrigerate for 10–15 minutes or let them air dry for 30 minutes.
  6. Once fully set, store in an airtight container at room temperature.

Notes

  • Use thicker pretzel rods to prevent breakage during dipping.
  • Add coconut oil or shortening to thin out overly thick chocolate.
  • Decorate while chocolate is still wet for best results.
  • Store in a cool, dry place to keep them crisp and fresh.
