1 ½ lbs chicken breast (about 4 medium breasts)
2 cups marinara sauce
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion granules
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning mix
½ teaspoon paprika
¼ teaspoon red chili flakes (optional)
1 ½ cups chicken broth
1 lb cheese tortellini
1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
½ cup heavy cream
2 cups baby spinach
⅓ cup parmesan cheese, grated
Instructions
Spray the slow cooker with olive oil to prevent sticking.
Arrange chicken breasts in a single layer in the slow cooker.
Pour marinara sauce and spices over the chicken, then add chicken broth and swirl gently.
Cover and cook on LOW for about 4 hours.
Shred the cooked chicken with forks.
Return shredded chicken to the cooker and mix with sauce.
Add tortellini, mozzarella, and heavy cream, stirring gently.
Cook on LOW for an additional 30 minutes.
