Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions until al dente; drain and lay flat on a kitchen towel.
In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef or sausage with chopped garlic and onion until browned.
Add tomato sauce and Italian seasoning; let simmer for about 10 minutes.
In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, salt, and pepper; mix until smooth.
In a baking dish, layer meat sauce, noodles, ricotta mixture, and mozzarella cheese; repeat until ingredients are used, finishing with mozzarella and Parmesan on top.
Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes; then remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
