6 Bramley apples, peeled and thinly sliced
50g caster sugar
2 tsp ground cinnamon
2 tbsp water
125g plain flour
125g rolled oats (not jumbo)
125g light brown sugar
125g unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 180°C (160°C fan) / 350°F / Gas 4.
In a large bowl, combine the flour, oats, and light brown sugar.
Pour the melted butter over the dry ingredients and stir until crumbly clumps form.
In a separate bowl, mix the sliced apples with caster sugar, cinnamon, and water.
Layer the apple mixture into a 2-liter pie dish.
Spoon the crumble topping evenly over the apples.
Bake for 35–45 minutes, until the topping is golden and the filling is bubbling.
