  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a baking dish with butter.
  2. Remove the outer leaves of the cabbage, core it, and slice into thin strips.
  3. Lightly boil or sauté the cabbage until just tender, then drain thoroughly.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, melted butter, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  5. Spread the drained cabbage evenly in the prepared baking dish and sprinkle with chopped onion.
  6. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the cabbage.
  7. Sprinkle flour or breadcrumbs lightly over the top.
  8. Bake uncovered for 45 to 60 minutes, or until the top is lightly golden and the center is set.
