1/2 cup of granulated sugar (100 g)
1 tsp of cinnamon
1/2 tsp of nutmeg
1 can (16 oz or 450 g) of halal-certified biscuit dough
1/2 cup of unsalted butter (115 g)
1 cup of non-alcoholic apple juice (240 ml)
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Peel and slice the tart apples into uniform pieces.
Mix the apple slices with sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a bowl.
Let the apple mixture sit for 10 minutes to create syrup.
Tear the biscuit dough into quarters and place in a bowl.
Drizzle melted butter over the biscuit pieces and toss to coat.
Layer half of the apple mixture in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
Sprinkle half of the biscuit pieces over the apples.
Repeat with the remaining apples and biscuit pieces.
Pour apple juice evenly over the entire dish.
Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden brown and bubbling.
